Dog Walking & Pet Sitting FAQ

General FAQ

Do I get to meet the person caring for my pets and home?

Of course! The purpose of our meet and greets are to ensure that you are comfortable with the team member who is entering your home and caring for your pets. It’s also an opportunity for us to familiarise ourselves with your home, collect the keys and go through all the nitty gritty details about your pet(s).

Who will be caring for my pet?

Our passionate, caring team members are all hand-picked through a dilligent selection process, police and reference referenced checked, public liability insured and pet first aid certified. We all work a variety of shifts to maximise our availability and flexibility for you. While you will meet your primary pet minder during your Meet & Greet, other members of our wonderful team will be happy to step in and snuggle your fur friend if ever they are not available. This is to ensure your pets and home are in safe hands when you’re away!

I have a last minute meeting pop up! Can I book in a same-day walk or visit?

Of course! We always try our best to squeeze in last minute bookings. One of the great things about having an amazing team, is that we usually have a team member available!

Do you dog walk and pet sit on weekends and holidays?

We sure do! We operate 365 days of the year as we know that the holiday period is usually when owners travel to see family and friends, therefore having to leave their pets at home. Please keep in mind we do carry a 25% or 50% surcharge for some public holidays.

Dog Walking FAQ

I'm booking weekly dog walks. How do I go about paying?

Invoices are sent to your email at the end of each week. Every invoice includes our relevant bank details, and this is where payment can be transferred to before the commencement of the dog walks.

Turns out I'm going to be home today, so I don't need a dog walk. How do I cancel?

If you need to cancel a dog walk, please inform our team member immediately. We do have cancellation policies which can be found here – Policies

Which walk or pop in visit times can I request for my pet?

All of our dog walking and pop in visits are offered in a flexible 2 to 3 hour window based on the preferred time you choose at booking; if your pet requires a walk or visit at a specific time due to medical requirements or unique circumstances, please let us know at the time of your booking and we will happily arrange something for you!

Pet Sitting FAQ

How does the sitter gain entry to my home? Do I need to give them a key?

That is entirely up to you! If we need entry to your home ,we highly recommend leaving a house key in a lockbox at the front or side of your home. Coded padlocks at the side gate are also an option! In the event none of these are possible, please talk to us about another arrangement for home access and we can figure out the best method together.

What type of pets do you care for?

We love all pets and care for most! We have experience caring for cats, dogs, birds, chickens, fish, guinea pigs, reptiles, rodents and horses.

I plan on going away soon but I have a very anxious dog. What should I do?

If you have an anxious dog that suffers from separation anxiety, we would suggest choosing one of our longer overnight stay options or hourly pop-in & play visits, so your pup can have 24/7 care and supervision. We would also recommend booking in some initial dog walks, so your dog becomes familiarised with the team member who will be caring for him/her in your absence.

I have a dog and a cat that really only need to be checked on every other day. Can I book that?

We do not recommend leaving your pets alone for a maximum 24 hours, so we will only care for pets that require daily care.
