Celebrating Love: The Happy Hounds Pet Wedding Attendant Experience
Pets hold a special place in our hearts, and their presence on our most important days is invaluable. That's why Happy Hounds is proud to offer our Pet Wedding Attendant Service, a unique way to include your furry companions in your cherished moments.
In this blog post, we'll offer you a glimpse into the world of what we do as pet wedding attendants by sharing a beautiful wedding where we recently provided our services.
Preparing for the Big Day
As the wedding approached, we communicated with Bryce, the groom-to-be, to discuss how we could help him and his lovely bride, Cassie, include their two adorable dachshunds, Piper and Tank, in their special day. We worked together to create a plan that included a timeline of events. We also set up a virtual meeting before the wedding, where we could discuss Piper and Tank’s care and how they wanted the pooches involved in their big day.
Wedding Day Arrival
Bryce and Cassie’s wedding was to be at the beautiful Bower Estate, nestled in the heart of the luscious Gold Coast Hinterland with views stretching across the ancient mountains and forests of Springbrook National Park.
The day dawned and the weather was perfect; sunny and with not a cloud in the sky to be seen. Whilst the wedding party were at their respective locations preparing, Happy Hounds Pet Wedding Attendant, Carissa, was scheduled to collect Piper and Tank from the family’s Gold Coast accommodation.
Upon arriving at the Bower Estate, Carissa met up with Bryce, Cassie and their family who were taking some time to relax before final preparations. Everyone had puppy cuddles which helped calm those pre-wedding jitters. As the Bride and Groom began to get ready, the pooches had a big run around the cottage on the estate to burn off some energy before the ceremony officially commenced. It was then time for Carissa to ready the pups with a light groom and get them suited up their wedding attire. They looked adorable in a flower collar and green velvet tuxedo!
The Grand Entrance
As Bryce waited with anticipation for his beautiful bride, Cassie’s nieces walked the aisle leading Piper and Tank, making for some beautiful photos and video content! Then, Cassie made her grand entrance. She looked stunning!
Pet Wedding Attendant Carissa stayed discretely nearby, ready to provide support in case the pups became restless. Once they’d had some time at the end of the aisle, the flower girls passed the dogs onto Carissa and together they found a quiet spot at the back of ceremony to sit and watch. Both dogs had a little nap while the ceremony went on.
Model Pups
After the ceremony, many wedding guests wanted to say hello to the dogs and they happily obliged! They had a fun-filled afternoon filled with lots of pats, cuddles and they even dished out a couple kisses to some special wedding guests. When it came time for photographs, Piper and Tank put their best paws forward, posing like little super stars and looking super cute!
After an eventful and busy day, it was time for the two littlest stars of the moment to head home and rest. Carissa carefully loaded them into the car to take them home, where our other Happy Hounds team member, Courtney, stayed with them overnight while the bride, groom, and guests continued to enjoy the festivities.
Once home, Carissa made sure the pups had everything they needed to feel comfortable. As they settled in, they were showered with lots of pats and snuggles, rewarding them for being such wonderful companions on this special day of celebrating love.
Happy Hounds thanks Bryce and Cass for the honour of being able to assist them and their fur babies at such an important day and we send our congratulations and best wishes for many fun-filled and happy years together!
